2004 National Transportation Week Poster Contest Winners
During National Transportation Week, May 16-22, 2004, Americans have the opportunity to celebrate the benefits of transportation, as well as explore the challenges we face in the future. The annual poster contest is a creative, fun project for 5th grade students to stimulate their thinking about the many ways transportation affects our lives. The future of our nation’s transportation systems begins today with our youth and judging from the artwork, it is indeed an exciting future.
The NTW poster contest also provides an opportunity to carry the message of transportation careers to students, teachers and parents. A major objective of NTW is to interest more young people in transportation and the poster contest has helped spark that interest in hundreds of students across the country.
